Just hours ahead of the official launch of the new Brezza facelift, Maruti has released the Bharat NCAP crash test result of the updated SUV. The new Brezza has scored a 5-star rating in the crash tests conducted by the Bharat NCAP agency.
2026 Maruti Brezza facelift: Bharat NCAP crash test details
The new Brezza facelift was recently tested by the Bharat NCAP for its safety. The compact SUV has scored a stupendous 5-star rating in the crash tests, showing that it is equally safe as its rivals like the Tata Nexon, which primarily sell because of their safety quotient.
As per the official details, the new Brezza has managed to score 30.41 points out of 32 points in the Adult Occupant Protection. In the front offset deformable barrier test, the new Brezza scored 14.41 points out of 16, while it scored 16 points out of 16 in the side movable deformable barrier test.
Moreover, it also managed to clear the side pole impact crash test. In the Child Occupant Protection, the new Brezza scored 43 points out of 49. It also received 24/24 points in the CRS Dynamic Score, 12/12 points in the CRS installation, and 7/13 points in the overall vehicle assessment score.
These crash test results for the new Brezza are valid for all the variants with the 1.5-litre petrol engine that gets a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox, and the 1.0-litre Boosterjet petrol engine that gets a new 6-speed manual gearbox.
The standard safety features of the new Brezza facelift include six airbags, ABS with EBD, pedestrian protection, seat belt reminder for all passengers, three-point seat belts, and ISOFIX seats. The top-spec variant comes with the new Blind Spot monitoring, auto-dimming IRVM, a 360-degree camera, reverse camera and parking sensors, etc.
