Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will introduce two new models today, as per an online report. The new models will include the ADV 160 maxi scooter and the Rebel 300 cruiser motorcycle.
What to expect from the Honda ADV 160?
The long-overdue rumours seem to end today about the ADV 160 maxi scooter launch in India. Honda is likely to launch the ADV 160 today, and it will go against the likes of the rivals like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Hero Xoom 160.
The ADV 160 boasts a mixed design of a sporty scooter and an adventure bike. Its maxi scooter styling includes the stepped seat, divided footboard, a long front apron with dual-pod LED headlights, a long adjustable windscreen, and a long-travel front suspension that mimics an ADV bike.
This scooter is based on a 157cc liquid-cooled motor that produces 16 bhp and 14.7 Nm. It also gets features like a TFT console, Bluetooth connectivity, keyless ignition, navigation, and more. We suspect that it will be priced around Rs 1.4 lakh.
What to expect from the Honda Rebel 300?
The second product will be the Rebel 300 cruiser model. This bike will compete with the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, and it will offer a low-slung neo-retro cruiser styling similar to the bigger Rebel 500 cruiser.
The Rebel 300 is based on a 299cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 30 bhp and 27.5 Nm. It gets a 6-speed gearbox, and it weighs 165 kg, which makes it significantly lighter than the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
The biggest draw is that the new Rebel 300 and ADV 160 will be locally manufactured. Additionally, the brand is expected to price the Rebel 300 under Rs 2.2 lakh, primarily because of the new GST 2.0 rates, which relaxed the taxes on the bikes and scooters below 350cc last year.
