The Kia Carens Clavis EV is slowly becoming more than just a family electric MPV. Kia India has announced that the electric model has now crossed 1,100 units deployed in corporate fleets since its launch in July 2025.
The milestone comes as Kia signs another fleet deal, this time with Refex Mobility. The two companies have entered into an agreement for 100 Carens Clavis EVs, with the first batch handed over at a ceremony in New Delhi on August 11.
100 cars for Refex Mobility
The new 100-unit order from Refex Mobility is significant because Refex operates fleet mobility solutions for corporate customers.
According to Kia, the Carens Clavis EV offers a spacious cabin and comfortable seating for extended daily use, while its range is suited to intensive fleet operations. The company has also highlighted the vehicle’s advanced Battery Management System, which is designed to support efficiency and safety.
Refex Mobility says the combination of the Clavis EV’s space, comfort and electric efficiency makes it suitable for everyday fleet operations. The company will use the vehicles to provide zero-emission mobility solutions to its enterprise customers.
Corporate mobility could become a bigger EV market
The 1,100-unit fleet milestone gives Kia an interesting foothold in India’s corporate EV space. The company says it wants to expand electric mobility beyond individual ownership and work with fleet partners to make EVs more practical for everyday business transportation.
The Carens Clavis EV’s positioning certainly helps here. Unlike a conventional compact EV, it offers three-row practicality and a larger cabin, which can be useful for airport transfers, employee transportation and other commercial applications.
