Tata has begun working on the next-generation Nexon compact SUV. The new SUV has been spotted multiple times, with the latest sighting showing new details. The fresh spy images hint that the new Nexon will feature 18-inch rims. The test mule that was spotted had the same dual-tone alloy wheels as the Curvv, hinting that Tata could introduce bigger wheels on the range-topping variants of the new Nexon.
2027 Tata Nexon: What do we know so far?
While it is not the first time that the next-generation Nexon was spotted, the new spy images give us a clear idea that the new Nexon will feature a massive exterior and interior redesign. The test mule not only had the Curvv’s 18-inch rims, but it also had a new fascia with a more upright stance, a new bonnet, bigger mirrors, and a bolder profile.
However, the biggest update is the new rear profile with a more vertically raised stance. The rear quarter area has been redesigned to provide more interior space for the rear passengers. Additionally, the bodyline has also been reworked. This has also led to a complete redesign of the rear profile of the SUV.
Gone are the sloping roofline and a sporty and timid-looking rear. The new Nexon is likely to pack a more vertically stacked boot, a bigger rear windshield, and a squared-off design. With that said, the new Nexon will also pack a completely new interior with a new steering wheel, connected display, new seats and door panels. Tata will also focus on increasing the comfort and improving the ergonomics of the new Nexon.
With that said, the powertrain details are yet to be revealed, but we can safely say that the new-gen Nexon will use the current engine options with slight revamp in efficiency and power outputs.
