- Nissan Tekton 7-seater spied in detail
- Equipped with radar-based ADAS and R18 wheels
- India launch is expected next year
Nissan is preparing its next big product for the Indian market. This new SUV will be essentially a seven-seater version of the Tekton. The latest spy images have surfaced online, showing close-up details of the Tekton 7-seater. It is expected to be revealed early next year, while the launch could be slated for mid-2027.
Nissan Tekton 7-seater: What do we know so far?

As visible in the latest spy shots, the Tekton 7-seater test mule is seen equipped with new hardware and revised design elements. Since it is based on the 5-seater Tekton, the overall silhouette of the SUV is identical to its smaller sibling. However, the elongated side profile and the redesigned rear give away the fact that it is holding 7 seats.
The immediately recognisable details include the slightly redesigned fascia that features the new LED headlights, a redesigned bumper that is neatly hidden under the camouflage, and a new grille. On the side, it packs the new R18 alloy wheels with 225/60 profile rubber. This size is different from the 225/55 of the 5-seater Tekton, hinting that the ride quality will be the brand’s priority with this model.
The side profile also features a crossover-like rear quarter design that has a rather flat roofline and an upright stance. The rear design packs the new LED taillights, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a redesigned rear bumper.
While the new spy images did not reveal the interior, what we can spot is the new interior theme that uses a tan, brown-like texture. Nissan is expected to add new features and 7- and 6-seat options on this new SUV.
In terms of the features, the test mule was spotted with the radar-based ADAS module and sensors. This indicates that the production-spec model could also get new passive safety features.
Powering this SUV is likely going to be the 1.3-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This engine develops a healthy 163 bhp and 280 Nm, and it is offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed wet-plate DCT automatic gearbox on the Tekton 5-seater. Nissan will most likely change the tuning of this setup for better driveability.
More details about this upcoming SUV will surface as we approach its launch timeline next year.
