- Mahindra Thar Roxx spied with Thar OG alloys
- Equipped with DaVinci suspension
- Launch expected in the coming months
Mahindra recently introduced the new 3-door Thar OG in the Indian market, which brought new upgrades like the DaVinci suspension and new alloy wheels. Now, the Thar Roxx, which is the 5-door version of the Thar, has been spotted with the same changes, indicating that the bigger Thar will soon receive an upgrade.
DaVinci suspension confirmed: Better stability and handling

The Thar Roxx test mule that was spotted recently was production-ready. The test mule had the DaVinci suspension bolted on, which confirms that the range-topping variants will receive this upgrade for sure.
As seen on the new Thar OG, the DaVinci suspension is a trademark hardware developed by Mahindra that eliminates body roll and increases the stability of the car. Further, this suspension helps in enhancing the handling and control, and its FDS (frequency damping system) reduces the pitch and roll, which leads to a substantially comfortable ride quality.
New exterior changes expected

Since this test mule is most similar to the current Thar Roxx, this upcoming update will not be a facelift or a mid-life makeover. Mahindra will most likely revise the variant lineup of the Thar Roxx, where newer top variants could be added, offering the new suspension and new exterior updates.
As far as the exterior changes are concerned, the specific test mule that was spotted had the new 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels similar to the Thar OG. Apart from the new alloy wheels, the test unit is almost unaltered from the current version. This further solidifies the fact that the new changes will be brought in the form of a new variant.
Powertrain to remain unchanged
With that said, the new Thar Roxx will remain mechanically unchanged. The current engine and drivetrain options will be carried forward as they are. Mind you, the Thar Roxx is available with a 2.2-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine option, where both engines are available with 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox choices, and RWD and 4WD drivetrain options.
