Maruti Suzuki Brezza crosses 1.5 million sales milestone in India

Key highlights

  • Maruti Suzuki Brezza has crossed 15 lakh cumulative sales in India since its launch.
  • The latest Brezza has received over 1 lakh bookings since its July 2026 launch.
  • Powertrain options include the new Turbo Boosterjet engine, K15C petrol engine and S-CNG technology.

Maruti Suzuki has announced that the Brezza has crossed the 15 lakh cumulative sales milestone in India. The compact SUV, which has been on sale for over a decade, continues to be an important model in the company’s SUV portfolio.

According to Maruti Suzuki, the Brezza is India’s highest-selling compact SUV based on sales volumes between February 2015 and May 2026, as certified by JATO Dynamics. The milestone reflects the model’s sustained demand in a competitive segment that now includes several established rivals.

New Brezza crosses 1 lakh bookings

The announcement comes after the launch of the updated Brezza in July 2026. Maruti Suzuki says the latest version has already received more than 1 lakh bookings, with buyers responding to its refreshed styling, updated technology and wider powertrain range.

The company also claims that 56% of prospective buyers consider the Brezza before beginning their vehicle purchase journey. This indicates strong initial consideration for the model, although the company has not provided further details about the survey or the methodology behind the figure.

Turbo-petrol, petrol and CNG options

The latest Brezza is available with multiple powertrain options, including the newly introduced Turbo Boosterjet engine, the K15C engine and S-CNG technology.

The S-CNG version uses an underbody CNG tank configuration, which Maruti Suzuki says helps preserve boot space. This is a practical consideration for buyers who want the lower running costs of CNG without giving up luggage capacity.

Safety is another focus area. Maruti Suzuki highlights the Brezza’s five-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, alongside its range of safety features. Buyers should check the specific equipment offered on their chosen variant before making a purchase.

Final thoughts

Crossing 15 lakh sales is a significant milestone for the Brezza, particularly as competition in the compact SUV segment has intensified.
