Honda 0 Alpha EV: What do we know so far?

The 0 Alpha EV was first introduced as a prototype at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. It immediately attracted the attention of car enthusiasts worldwide with its unique design language that boasts a vertical tail design with a big glass and U-shaped connected lights.

The 0 Alpha EV began its road testing phase in India earlier this year, and since then it has been spotted at various places, revealing a few details about its exterior and interior. For what we know, the 0 Alpha EV will be positioned in the mid-size electric SUV segment, against the rivals like Maruti e Vitara, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG Windsor, etc.

It will be longer than 4 metres, and it will boast a clean design language like other Honda cars. The clean design language is also visible through the previous spy shots, where we can see the simple body panels, clean door panels, and aerodynamic bits like the closed fascia, futuristic LED lights, and aerodynamic alloy wheels.

The previously surfaced spy images also gave us a faint glimpse of its interior where we saw a large central screen for the infotainment, a big digital driver cockpit, and a new steering wheel. Honda had also revealed the interior of the prototype in Japan at the Mobility Show, which showcased a completely new and unique design language. The cabin design will focus on comfort and next-gen AI connectivity.

The most interesting bit will be the powertrain, which is currently unknown. As per the online rumours, Honda could introduce two battery packs ranging up to 55 kWh, which might offer a real-world range of 450 km or upwards. While these are just assumptions, the 0 Alpha EV will make it to the showrooms by the end of this year. We suspect that it will be priced somewhere around Rs 25-30 lakh.
