Royal Enfield has announced the Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition, called the Hypershift Classic 650, as part of its 125-year celebrations. The limited-edition motorcycle combines the familiar Classic styling with a special colour-changing finish and exclusive anniversary detailing.

Priced at Rs 4,25,589 (ex-showroom), the motorcycle will be limited to just 125 units per key region globally. Registrations opened at 2 PM IST on October 16, 2026, and will remain open until the sale day on October 28. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026.

What’s special?

The defining feature is its bespoke Hypershift paint finish, which changes between shades of red, green and gold depending on how light falls on the motorcycle. Royal Enfield says the design draws inspiration from its colour palette over the decades, blending heritage-inspired detailing with a more contemporary finish.

The motorcycle retains the Classic 650’s signature teardrop-shaped fuel tank and nacelle-mounted headlamp. A brass base finish pays tribute to the earliest Royal Enfield motorcycles from 1901, while a gilded 125-year crest, special side-panel badging and hand-painted pinstripes distinguish the anniversary edition from the standard model.

The overall design remains faithful to the Classic’s traditional silhouette, with the special paintwork and detailing doing most of the work to make this edition stand out.

650 Twin engine continues unchanged

Royal Enfield has not announced any mechanical changes for the anniversary edition. It continues to use the brand’s established 650 Twin platform, retaining the twin-cylinder character and mechanical layout of the standard Classic 650.

The press note does not provide separate performance figures or equipment changes for this special edition, suggesting that its exclusivity lies primarily in its finish and anniversary-specific details rather than additional performance hardware.
