2026 Kawasaki Z1100: What is new?
The updated Z1100 brings a long list of updates. Starting with the styling, the bike features the iconic Sugomi design language with the sharp, predator-like fascia. The quad projector headlight setup is now complemented by a new handle that is wider and now set more forward, offering a more agile handling to the rider.
The bike comes with an all-black contrast styling, and it is offered in a single paint option, called Ebony/Metallic Carbon Gray. The riding position has also been altered for better handling and agility.
In terms of the electronic updates, the new Z1100 packs a 5-inch coloured TFT console. This console offers a host of features like cruise control, power modes, traction modes, turn-by-turn navigation support, Kawasaki Rideology app connectivity, and a six-axis IMU that packs lean-sensitive ABS, and more.
Moreover, Kawasaki engineers have returned the 1,099cc inline-four liquid-cooled motor. While the power and torque output is still the same as the previous bike, i.e. 134.1 bhp and 113 Nm, the low-end torque and mid-range to high-speed torque have been improved. Kawasaki has also added the new electronic throttle valves and updated the ECU, which cumulatively offer a thrilling yet responsive riding experience.
In terms of hardware, the Z1100 continues to feature the twin-tube aluminium frame. It rides on lightweight 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, gets a 41 mm USD fork setup at the front with adjustability, and a unique horizontal rear monoshock setup that offers improved centre of mass and provides more space.
The braking duties are covered by the dual 310 mm dual-semi-floating discs at the front and a 260 mm single disc brake at the rear. Kawasaki has also added the quickshifter and a dual-channel ABS with a switchable rear ABS.
Bookings for the new Z1100 are now open nationwide, and deliveries are expected to commence shortly.
