- Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler pickup truck spied in South Africa
- Global launch expected next year
- It will get turbo petrol and diesel engine options with 4×4
Mahindra showcased the upcoming Scorpio Lifestyler pickup truck in a production prototype recently in India. While the brand is yet to launch it officially in India, the Lifestyler pickup truck has begun testing on international grounds.
The latest spy shots come from Johannesburg, South Africa, where a camouflaged test mule of the Lifestyler pickup truck was seen testing in the city. The camouflaged test mule is similar to the Indian-spec version, as it features the same design cues.

The fascia of the test mule has the new grille with horizontal slats, new L-shaped LED lights, a rugged bumper, and an upright stance. On the side, it features the 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and a double-cab design with conventional door handles. Meanwhile, the tail features the new vertical LED taillights with a C-shaped pattern and a big loading bay.
A faint glimpse of the interior shows a central infotainment screen. However, this screen is different from the vertical screen that was shown during the official reveal of the pickup truck. So, this could be a mid-spec variant.

The Scorpio Lifestyler pickup truck will be based on the same ladder-frame chassis as the Scorpio N. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre mHawk turbo diesel engine. The 4×2 drivetrain will be offered on the lower-spec variants and the single-cab version, while the mid-spec and range-topping variants will get the 4×4 drivetrain.

The Lifestyler pickup truck will not be short on features either. It will get comfort, convenience, and safety features like the electric seats with ventilation, wireless charging pad, Level 2 ADAS safety package, 360-degree surround view, underbody view, drive modes, traction modes, and more.
Mahindra will launch the Scorpio Lifestyler in India in early 2027. It will be priced around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Other international markets like the Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc, are likely to follow in the coming months.
