Upcoming Hero Karizma XMR 250 spied in red colour at dealer

Key highlights

  • New Hero Karizma XMR 250 spotted at dealer
  • Equipped with a new red colour and white graphics
  • India launch is expected towards the end of this year

Hero is likely going to launch the Karizma XMR 250 soon in the Indian market. The latest spy shots of a red coloured unit have surfaced from a dealership, hinting at a possible launch soon.

The Karizma XMR 250 made its first debut at EICMA 2024, following its debut at Bharat Mobility Expo in 2025. The last showcase was at EICMA 2025, where Hero displayed a white and red coloured model with ride-by-wire, cruise control, and other advanced electronic aids.

The latest spotting is from a dealership. This further solidifies that Hero is likely supplying the display models and test-drive units. However, the brand has not officially confirmed the launch timeline for the Karizma XMR 250.

As seen in the new spy images, the Karizma XMR 250 boasts a similar design to the showcased model at EICMA 2025. However, this specific unit is predominantly painted red, while white colour is used on the front fender and on the body graphics. The mechanical bits are draped in a black shade, while the USD forks bear golden covers.

Speaking of the details, it is likely powered by the same 250cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the Xtreme 250R. This unit offers 30 PS and 25 Nm, the same as the Xtreme 250R. We believe that this engine will undergo certain revisions for the Karizma’s sporty nature.

With that said, the bike seen in the spy shots has a committed riding posture with clip-on handles and rear-set footpegs for the rider. The overall design is identical to the XMR 210, but due to the bigger engine and mechanical components, the 250 iteration looks beefier.

Recently, Yamaha launched the R2, which is sort of a direct rival to the Karizma XMR 250. The R2 is priced from Rs 2.31 lakh, while other rivals like the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 are priced aggressively. Hero’s aggressive pricing strategy is likely to be seen for the Karizma XMR 250 as well. We expect it to be launched in the coming weeks with a price tag of around Rs 2 lakh.
