It is no secret that Hyundai has been developing the next-generation Creta for a long time. The latest spotting of one of the test mules reveals the lower-spec trim with fewer features. The new-gen Creta is bound to launch next year in India. Read below what to expect from it.

2027 Hyundai Creta: What to expect?

The latest sighting of a camouflaged test mule of the next-generation Creta reveals a possibly lower-spec version. The spy images show a test mule with smaller wheels and wheel covers, instead of the bigger alloy wheels that we have seen on the previous test cars.

While not much is visible through the camouflage, the wheels are the sole difference that hints at the trim. Apart from the wheels, the test mule is identical to the previous spottings. The new-gen Creta will be based on an all-new platform, which also houses the current Kia Seltos in India.

With the new platform, the Creta will grow longer and wider in size. This means that the cabin will also become more spacious than the current model.

As far as the exterior design is concerned, we expect it to adopt the ‘Art of Steel’ design philosophy. It will get sharp styling cues like the new LED lights, along with a boxy silhouette. The new platform will also increase the boot space substantially.

On the inside, the new-gen Creta will undergo a massive makeover. The big changes will include the all-new dashboard with the Pleos Connect central infotainment screen and a slim digital driver display with an augmented reality HUD.

The list of features is also likely to be revamped by a big margin. Creta has always been the segment leader when it comes to tech and features, and we believe that the new-gen model will likely offer AI-assisted features, smart wireless connectivity, improved cabin insulation, electric seats with ventilation and massaging, an electric boot, and more.

Under the bonnet, the new-gen Creta will continue to offer the current engine options. However, Hyundai has confirmed that it will bring along a new 1.6-litre Hybrid engine. This engine is offered on the new-gen Kia Seltos in the international market. The Hybrid Creta will rival the new Renault Duster Hybrid, Toyota Hyryder Hybrid, and the Maruti Grand Vitara Hybrid

Online reports hint that the new-gen Creta will debut in India by March 2027. Although the timeline has not been confirmed officially.
