Ather Energy has given its popular 450X electric scooter a fresh visual update with the launch of the new 450X Overtones Series. Instead of a complete redesign, the company has opted for a subtle makeover that introduces new tone-on-tone finishes while retaining the sharp styling the 450X is known for.
Available in Still White, Space Grey and Lunar Grey, the Overtones Series uses contrasting textures and finishes to highlight the scooter’s aerodynamic design, giving it a cleaner and more premium appearance.
New look, same performance
Mechanically, the 450X Overtones Series remains unchanged. It continues to offer the same sporty performance that has made the 450 one of India’s most popular premium electric scooters.
Powered by Atherstack 7
The Overtones Series also benefits from Atherstack 7, the latest version of Ather’s in-house software platform.
Some of the key additions include:
- Voice commands for navigation and vehicle controls
- Charging station search using voice
- Display brightness adjustment through voice
- Improved user interface
- Enhanced connectivity features
When paired with Ather’s Halo Smart Helmet, riders can enjoy seamless communication between their phone, scooter and helmet, enabling navigation prompts, music and calls without needing separate earphones.
New safety features
Atherstack 7 also introduces several new safety functions designed to improve peace of mind.
These include:
- CrashAlert – Automatically notifies emergency contacts if a crash is detected.
- ParkSafe – Warns riders when parking in locations prone to towing or theft.
- LockSafe – Allows the motor to be remotely immobilised through the Ather app, making theft significantly more difficult.
These additions build on the company’s growing focus on software-driven safety features.
Faster charging
Ather has also introduced a new 900W portable charger for the 450 range.
According to the company, the upgraded charger reduces charging times by nearly 30 percent, making it more convenient for daily commuting and reducing downtime between rides.

The new Overtones Series is available in:
- Still White
- Space Grey
- Lunar Grey
Each colour receives a unique tone-on-tone treatment with contrasting textures instead of bold graphics, giving the scooter a more understated premium look.
