Key Highlights
- Ather Energy has crossed 7 lakh cumulative retail sales in India as of June 25, 2026.
- It is the fourth Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer to hit this milestone, after Ola Electric, TVS Motor Company, and Bajaj Auto.
- Ather sold its most recent 2 lakh units in just eight months.
We wrote about Ather crossing 6 lakh sales back in April. Just two months later, the company has already hit 7 lakh. That tells you everything about how fast this brand is moving right now.
As per Vahan data, Ather has delivered 7,04,447 units since it began sales in 2018. It joins Ola Electric, TVS Motor Company, and Bajaj Auto as the only four Indian e2W manufacturers to cross this mark. Notably, Ather’s most recent 2 lakh units took just eight months to sell, a clear sign of accelerating demand.
The pace keeps getting faster
Ather’s first four years, from 2018 to 2021, were slow, partly due to the pandemic. Growth picked up meaningfully from 2022 onward.

In the first six months of 2026 alone, Ather has already sold 76 percent of what it sold in all of 2025. At this pace, the company is on track for around 3,25,000 units this calendar year, which would be its best year by a wide margin.
March 2026 was Ather’s best month ever, with 36,362 units sold. The company has crossed the 20,000-unit monthly mark eight times in the last nine months alone.
The Rizta keeps doing the heavy lifting
The Rizta, launched in April 2024, remains the single biggest reason for this growth. It now accounts for nearly 75 percent of Ather’s monthly sales and crossed 3 lakh cumulative units in just 25 months, faster than almost any other model in the Indian e2W space.
Ather’s year-to-date market share now stands at 17.53 percent, making it the fourth-largest e2W brand in the country by current sales share.
What comes next
Ather’s new EL platform and its third manufacturing plant in Maharashtra are both gearing up to support the next phase of growth. The Maharashtra facility alone is expected to add capacity for a million units annually once fully operational.
