What to expect from the BMW F 450 GS?

BMW Motorrad is all set to launch the F 450 GS in India. However, unlike the online rumours were hinting, the brand will not launch its baby GS at the IBW 2025, but the launch is now expected in January 2026 as a standalone event.

Considering how much time and effort BMW and TVS have spent on developing this new 420cc platform, it is right as per the marketing standards to debut the bike in a separate event. The F 450 GS will be a critical product for BMW and even for TVS, as it will shape the future of both brands and also set up the base for the upcoming models that will use the same engine.

Speaking of the F 450 GS, it will be manufactured by TVS at its Hosur facility, and the brand will also export the units globally from India. The expected price of the F 450 GS for the Indian market is believed to range between Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, depending on the variant.

The new 450 platform is based on the all-new 420cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 48 bhp and 43 Nm, and it is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

More details are likely to be revealed around the launch timeline next month.
