Key highlights
- Ducati brings the all-new XDiavel V4 to India with a MotoGP-derived V4 engine
- Produces 168 hp and promises sports bike pace in a laid-back cruiser format
- Gets a big tech upgrade, improved comfort, and bold new colours
The all-new Ducati XDiavel V4 is now officially on sale in India, and it is easily the most dramatic sport cruiser the brand has ever brought here. This is not a mild update. This is a full reset of what a power cruiser can be, and it comes with Ducati’s V4 firepower at its core.
Powertrain
At the heart of the XDiavel V4 sits the 1158 cc V4 Granturismo engine. It is derived from Ducati’s MotoGP bloodline, but tuned for real-world riding. The numbers tell the story clearly. 168 hp and 125.5 Nm of torque give this cruiser the kind of punch that can embarrass many supersport bikes at a traffic light. Ducati claims 0 to 100 kmph in under three seconds. Braking duties are handled by Brembo Stylema calipers with 330 mm discs.
Design
The design stays true to the XDiavel’s muscle cruiser roots but looks sharper and more purposeful. The long and low stance remains. The massive 240-section rear tyre still steals the show. Ducati has added more drama with a four-exit exhaust and new metallic colours called Burning Red and Black Lava.
Suspension and electronics package
Comfort gets a meaningful upgrade this time. The seat is lower and more supportive. The handlebar position feels more relaxed. Suspension travel has increased, which should help on Indian roads that are generous with surprises. Even the pillion seat is larger and more usable.
The electronics package reads like a wish list. You get cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, quickshifter, cruise control, and four riding modes. All of this runs through a large TFT screen with smartphone connectivity and navigation support.
Pricing
Prices start at INR 30.88 lakh ex-showroom for the Burning Red colour, while the Black Lava shade costs slightly more. This puts the XDiavel V4 firmly in luxury motorcycle territory, but that is exactly where it belongs.
