Honda cars to become expensive – Here’s why
Honda has announced that its cars in India, which currently include Amaze, City, City Hybrid, and the Elevate, will undergo a price correction from January 1, 2026. All of these models will become expensive by a marginal amount.
The reason behind this price hike is the rising input costs. Moreover, the forex rates have also affected global manufacturers in India, who primarily use India as an export hub. Other carmakers joining this price hike list are Renault and Nissan.
With that said, Honda is working on a second facelift of the City sedan. The facelift model will undergo slight exterior and cabin changes and get more features. It is expected to launch in India by mid-2026. The next-gen City will launch in 2028 globally.
