Why have Honda CBR650R and CB1000 Hornet SP been recalled?
As per the details shared by Honda, the CBR650R sportsbike has been reported with an electrical issue. This specific issue persists for the motorcycles manufactured from 16 December 2024 to 4 May 2025. Honda has found that the turn signal wiring may rub against the metal components, which may lead to the short circuit due to the friction and vibration. This can eventually lead to malfunctioning of the LED lighting system.
Meanwhile, the CB1000 Hornet SP manufactured between 30 September 2024 to 22 August 2025, are found to consume more engine oil than the standard mark. This might be due to a part-related condition, and Honda is in the process of recalling the respective owners for the part replacement.
The above-mentioned issues are being addressed by Honda nationwide by identifying the respective owners of the affected units sold. The replacement will be carried out free of cost and as per the availability of the owners.
