Hyundai Staria EV: Design and features
The Staria EV is based on an 800V architecture, and it mimics the same design as its ICE-powered sibling. However, the front fascia gets a covered grille and redesigned bumpers on both ends, along with the new aerodynamic alloy wheels. The MPV retains its dual sliding doors and the big glass area. It measures 5,255 mm in length, 1,990 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,375 mm.
On the inside, the Staria EV features a 7-seater layout and also gets an optional 9-seater layout. The cabin design is similar to the ICE version, as it gets a flat floor design and spacious seats with utility spaces and ample thigh support. The dashboard gets a new three-spoke steering wheel, while the features include the twin 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and instrument console, OTA updates, Level 2 ADAS, electric seats with ventilation and heating, panoramic moonroof, multi-zone AC, and more.
Hyundai Staria EV: Battery specs and range
Powering the Staria EV is an 84 kWh battery pack that uses a single electric motor mounted on the front axle. This electric motor offers 215 bhp and 350 Nm of power and torque. Hyundai claims that the Staria EV can cover up to 400 km on a full charge. Meanwhile, its top speed is up to 184 km/h.
As the Staria EV is powered by an 800V architecture, it supports fast charging. The brand claims that it can be charged 10-80% in just 20 minutes, making it one of the fastest charging EVs. Hyundai is also offering an 11 kW onboard portable charger with it.
When will it launch in India?
Hyundai has announced that the Staria EV will go on sale in South Korea and Europe by mid-2026. It will be manufactured in South Korea and exported to the rest of the markets. However, there are no plans for its Indian debut anytime soon.
