Tata Sierra reserved for Indian women’s cricket players
The Indian Women’s Cricket Team has recently won the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 for the first time ever. To celebrate this historic achievement, Tata Motors has announced that it will gift the first set of the new-gen Sierra SUV to all the women’s cricket players.
The new-gen Sierra is scheduled to launch in India on November 25. It will mark the reintroduction of the iconic nameplate after more than two decades.
The new Sierra features a boxy design with elements that mimic the old-gen model, including the rear quarter glass styling. It is suspected to be based on a new platform, and Tata will debut a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with it.
Initially, the ICE version of Sierra will be launched, which will later be followed by an electric version. Tata will also offer the 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine with the Sierra.
On the inside, it will feature an all-new triple screen layout with a four-spoke steering wheel and dual-tone leather upholstery. The list of features will include the ventilated seats, electric seat adjustment, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, dual-zone AC, digital console, HUD, level 2 ADAS, and more.
The expected price tag of Sierra will be around Rs 25-30 lakh, and it will be positioned between the Harrier and the Safari.
