Mahindra has revealed a new special edition of the Bolero, called the Bold Edition. The upcoming Bold Edition packs several cosmetic tweaks, and it is based on the top-spec variant, offering more bells and whistles than the standard model.
Mahindra Bolero Bold Edition: What makes it special?
The new Bolero Bold Edition is more of a cosmetic upgrade that is based on the standard model. The official details shared online reveal that it features a gloss black exterior paint, which is accentuated by the golden accents on the front grille, bumper, golden ORVM caps, golden bronze side decals, and gold bronze alloy wheels.
Additionally, the special edition SUV features functional roof rails as standard equipment. On the inside, the Bolero Bold Edition packs black leather seats with gold-bronze highlights and a new reverse camera.
Mahindra has yet to reveal the specifications and price details of the Bolero Bold Edition. The standard version is priced from Rs 8.57 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), offering four variants: B4, B6, B6 (O), and B8.
The Bold Edition Bolero is likely to be offered exclusively in the B8 variant. Powering the special edition Bolero will be the same 1.5-litre mHawk three-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine as before. This unit is paired with a five-speed gearbox, and it comes with a rear-wheel-drive configuration as standard, offering 75 bhp and 210 Nm.
While the Bolero is already outdated by industry standards, it continues to be one of the best-sellers in the rural and tier-3 markets of India. Its rugged build and reliable engine prove to be a no-nonsense workhorse.
The Bold Edition has been specifically curated to pull more customers just days ahead of the festive season this year. Mahindra is likely to announce the price of the Bold Edition soon.
