MG Cyberster is a hit – What makes it popular?
The Cyberster became the first-ever electric sports car from MG in India upon its launch earlier this year. Its smashing design language, with the convertible rooftop coolness, has made it an instant hit among potential buyers.
As per the latest data reveal, the brand has sold over 350 units of the Cyberster in India since its launch in July 2025. Now that is a success figure for an EV two-door sports car, which is certainly not a practical daily driver for the Indian roads.
Moreover, the waiting period for new customers has now crossed 4-5 months, depending on the showroom location and availability. Mind you, the Cyberster is sold through the MG Select showrooms, which offer an exclusive premium EV experience to customers. MG also sells the M9 electric luxury MPV through these showrooms.
The Cyberster is priced at Rs 74.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it way cheaper than the ICE-powered two-door sports cars like the BMW M2. Meanwhile, its 77 kWh battery pack offers quick acceleration with its 503 bhp dual electric motor setup, claiming 0-100 kph in just 3.2 seconds and a claimed range of up to 580 km (MID-approved).
