What to expect from the new Honda electric scooter?

As per a latest online report, Honda is working on a new affordable electric scooter that will be heavily localised to keep it competitive against rivals like the TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.

Honda’s Activa e: and QC1 models did not perform well as per the expectations. In fact, the brand had to stop its production in November 2025 due to poor demand. But, the next target is now clear to Honda, as the brand is now focusing on affordability and ironing out the flaws of the Activa e: and QC1.

So, what could this new e-scooter be? As per the report, this unnamed scooter will use the J1H platform, and it will be heavily localised. Moreover, the focus is to offer competitive performance, range, and features, so that buyers from other brands.

The report also reveals that another e-scooter is under development, which will be based on a different platform. This particular scooter will be revealed in 2027, and it is likely to be offered by 2028, including the international markets.
