What to expect from the Nissan Tekton SUV?
The new Tekton SUV is based on the CMF-B platform, which is a co-developed architecture with Renault. The same chassis and engine-transmission combination has been shared with the new-gen Renault Duster as well, which will also debut in India on January 26.
The Tekton will offer a different design inspired by the Nissan Patrol SUV. It will have a more streamlined outlook with the connected lights and subtle design cues. On the inside, it will offer a driver-centric cabin design with all the latest bells and whistles, including wireless charging, ADAS, digital console, sunroof, etc.
Powering the Tekton is most likely to be a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, which is expected to be offered in two states of tune. It will be paired with a manual and an automatic gearbox, and the top-spec variants will get the AWD option too.
Based on the assumptions, we believe that the Tekton will be positioned slightly above the new-gen Renault Duster. The expected price range of the Tekton is Rs 11-20 lakh.
