Norton Manx R: Everything we know about it
The Manx R superbike debuted globally at the EICMA last year. The British motorcycle manufacturer, which is now owned by TVS, is currently conducting media test rides of this upcoming flagship superbike. During this event, the brand has also confirmed that the Manx R will be launched in the Indian market ” very soon.
With that said, the details regarding its prices or where it will be manufactured were not revealed. The Manx R boasts a premium superbike design, and it follows the conventional smooth panels, rather than the inclusion of the winglest and sharp fairing like the rivals Ducati, Aprilia, and more.
It is powered by an all-new 1,200cc V4 liquid-cooled engine that makes 203 bhp @ 11,500 rpm and 130 Nm @ 9,000 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and gets the bi-directional quickshifter along with a slipper clutch as standard.
It is loaded with a big 8-inch TFT coloured screen that offers a long list of features like Bluetooth connectivity, navigation support, customisable track modes, three riding modes, cornering ABS, wheelie control, engine brake control, and more.
Considering that it will become the flagship model upon launch, Norton is expected to price it at a premium of around Rs 25-30 lakh. The Manx R superbike will be followed later by the Atlas ADV, which will be manufactured locally, and it is expected to debut later this year.
