Ola Roadster X deliveries start – 200 km range

The Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ola has announced that it will begin the deliveries of the first batch of the Roadster X electric bike from May 23 nationwide.

The bookings of the Roadster X commenced a month ago, and as per the company, it has received a positive response. The announcement of the deliveries was made through the social media handles of the company recently.

Speaking of the Roadster X, it was showcased to the audience for the first time at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year. It boasts a commuter-oriented design with a comfortable riding position and sleek body for an easy city riding experience.

Ola Roadster X

Ola is offering the Roadster X in three battery pack options: a 2.5 kWh (117 km range), a 3.5 kWh (159 km range), and a 4.5 kWh (200 km range). All of these are coupled with an 11 kW electric motor.

The feature list includes a 4.3-inch LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity, LED lights, three ride modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport), and a tyre pressure monitoring system as well.

The hardware duties are done by the telescopic forks at the front, dual shock absorbers at the rear, a front disc brake, and a rear drum brake setup.

The Roadster X pricing starts from Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom), and its main rivals are the Revolt RV400 and Oben Rorr.

Our verdict

Ola Electric has been sailing through a tough sea of continuous allegations, setbacks, and poor service quality. While customers scream for help nationwide, the new Roadster X bike can prove helpful in changing the image of a dying brand.
