- Mahindra Thar facelift spied once again
- To get a new grille with five vertical slots
- New headlights to be carried over from the Thar Roxx
Mahindra is soon going to give the Thar 3-door SUV a makeover. The upcoming facelifted model was recently spotted with partial camouflage, showing the new changes like the redesigned fascia and side profile.
What to expect from the 2026 Mahindra Thar facelift?
The white coloured test mule was spotted in Maharashtra, where it was seen equipped with the new projector LED headlights that seem to be carried over from the Thar Roxx. Meanwhile, the test mule of the facelifted model also features a new five-vertical-slot grille, which makes it look substantially different from the current model.
Other changes include the redesigned foglight housing, which also seems to be upgraded to LEDs. Meanwhile, the side profile now features new five-spoke alloy wheels with a star-like pattern, which are expected to get a dual-tone finish.
With that said, the facelifted Thar looks almost unaltered in terms of dimensions and overall design. The previous spy shots have already shown that the rear design will feature the new LED taillights, which means that, in terms of the exterior updates, it will feature these mild tweaks.
On the inside, the new Thar facelift is likely to pack a bigger infotainment touchscreen from the Thar Roxx. Meanwhile, the semi-digital instrument console of the current model will be replaced by a fully digital console similar to the Thar Roxx.
Along with these updates, Mahindra is also likely to throw in some new features like wireless charging with ventilation, ventilated seats, a new cabin theme, etc. Since this will be a mid-life facelift, the new Thar 3-door will not feature any mechanical upgrades or changes.
Although Mahindra can retune its suspension for more agility and comfort, which will only be revealed during the launch. The new Thar 3-door facelift will be launched in India by Diwali 2026, and it is expected to get pricier than the current model.
