While the Indian-spec Renault Kwid still awaits a big update, the French brand has revealed the major facelift of the Kwid for Brazilian customers. The 2026 Kwid facelift is now available in Brazil with a major exterior and interior revamp.
Renault Kwid facelift: What has changed?
On the outside, the new Kwid now packs a redesigned fascia with a Kiger-like grille that is blacked out. Meanwhile, the sleek split LED daytime running lights and the new Renault logo make it look more muscular than before. The front bumper now packs silver and black garnish with a wide lower grille for better airflow.
While the new Kwid is dimensionally unchanged, the top-spec comes with a dual-tone exterior colour that makes it look more distinctive than the outgoing model. There are new 14-inch alloy wheels as well, which are likely to improve its ride quality. At the back, it packs smoked-out LED taillights and a redesigned bumper with big black cladding.
Step inside, and the new Kwid facelift welcomes you with a major revamp. The dashboard is all new, and it now packs a Kiger-like three-spoke steering wheel with physical controls for multimedia. There is a new 7-inch digital instrument console, which is also carried over from the Kiger SUV. Meanwhile, the dashboard now features a dual-screen setup with a large 10.1-inch infotainment screen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Other tweaks include the new dashboard without the Kwid lettering. However, this one packs hard plastic instead of soft-touch materials, given the nature of the car’s cost. Meanwhile, the new Kwid comes with front power windows, electrically adjustable mirrors, two Type-C USB charging ports, four airbags, hill-hold start assist, etc.
Mechanically, the new Kwid facelift is unaltered. It continues with its tried-and-tested 999cc three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This unit makes 68 bhp and 92 Nm of power and torque, and it comes paired with a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.
With that said, the new Kwid facelift is expected to be launched in India early next year. It could be priced slightly higher than the current model.
