Bajaj is working on its first adventure dual-sport motorcycle for the Indian market. While the name of this bike is unknown, we have already came across a few test mules of it. The latest sighting of another test bike has revealed that it will feature a coloured TFT screen. This screen is most likely to be derived from the newly launched Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 models.

Bajaj ADV bike: What do we know so far?

The latest spy shots of the upcoming ADV bike from Bajaj show its sleek profile that will suit everyday commutes. The test bike was spotted in the city at a red light, with the rider sitting quite comfortably and upright. This shows that the focus will be to offer a long-travel suspension for occasional trail riding, but also offer practicality for everyday use.

While Bajaj has kept quiet about this motorcycle, we can safely say that it will land in a similar category to the Xpulse 210 and the Kawasaki KLX 230. The engine components and design look derived from the Pulsar N250, as it gets oil cooling and a similar design. Moreover, the bike features the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked rims, indicating its dual-purpose design.

The test bike featured a 5-inch TFT screen that recently made its debut on the new Pulsar 150. It is likely to offer ride modes, Bluetooth connectivity, Google Maps integration, SMS/call alerts, and more such features.

Other notable features include the simple and robust hardware. The bike seems to be riding on a new diamond-type frame where the engine is a stress member of the chassis. Meanwhile, it gets an upright exhaust design, which again indicates its dual-purpose positioning.

Bajaj is reported to launch this new ADV bike next year. It could be called ‘Trekker’, a name that the company had registered long ago. Bajaj is known to aggressively price its products, and we can safely say that this bike will also be placed somewhere around Rs 2 lakh mark.
