Vega Helmets has introduced a new premium helmet for its AXOR range. The new helmet is called MX Carbon, and it has been carved out completely from a carbon fibre tri-composite shell.

The new MX Carbon is now available at Rs 20,000. Customers can buy it in three sizes, with the total weight of the helmet tipping just over 1 kg (1,040 g). The company has used a mix of three carbon fibre (tri-composite) materials to construct it: 3K carbon fibre, aramid fibre, and aerospace-grade fibre.

The MX Carbon is available in four sizes: Medium, Large, XL, and 2XL. The MX Carbon features an open design without any windshield or visor. It is an adventure or dual-sport helmet, and the company has designed it specifically to offer a wider field of view, along with compatibility with eye protection gear. Meanwhile, it uses special padding with airflow vents to offer a comfortable experience.

In terms of certifications, the helmet comes with ECE 22.06, ISI, and DOT approvals. This means that it is safer to use in motorsports events, further solidifying the safety quotient for everyday use.

Customers can pre-order it for Rs 20,060. However, this is an introductory price, and deliveries of the helmet are expected to start in the coming days. Speaking of its rival, the only helmet that offers a similar construction is the KYT Skyhawk, but it is priced at Rs 27,000, which makes it less value-for-money as compared to the MX Carbon.
