Upcoming Nissan C-SUV: What to expect?
It is no hidden fact that Nissan is working on a new compact SUV to make a strong comeback in the most competitive segment. This upcoming SUV has been making rounds around Chennai in a completely covered guise for a long time. However, the latest spotting has revealed a partial image of its cabin, hinting at what to expect.
While the test car seen here is completely camouflaged, a closer look reveals certain details that hint at a mid-spec variant. For example, it gets 17-inch steel rims with wheel covers, draped in 225/60/R17 rubber. The overall design of the car looks butch and muscular, and perhaps the non-connected lights will appeal more to buyers looking for less design fling.
The spy shots also reveal the partial cabin design, which hints at a modern cabin with the latest features like a digital console, a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted buttons, a dual-screen connected display, a manually height-adjustable driver seat, and more.
However, being a test car does not mean that these images are of the final product. Therefore, the black cabin theme might get a premium touch of fabric or leather on the production model. Moreover, the top-spec variants are expected to offer a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, and other segment standard features.
Powering the C-SUV will be a new range of petrol engine options, including naturally aspirated and turbo options. These engines will be offered with the choices of manual and automatic gearbox options. Nissan might also offer an AWD option on the top-spec variants.
The expected launch timeline of this unnamed SUV is by the first quarter of 2026. The price range will be in the vicinity of the Hyundai Venue and Maruti Brezza.
