Suzuki Motorcycle India has added a new colour option to the V-Strom SX, giving its quarter-litre adventure tourer a darker, more understated appearance. The new Glass Sparkle Black + Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray finish also gets revised graphics, while the motorcycle’s mechanical package remains unchanged.
The new shade joins the existing Champion Yellow No. 2 + Glass Sparkle Black, Pearl Glacier White + Metallic Matte Stellar Blue and Glass Sparkle Black options.
Same engine and adventure hardware
The V-Strom SX continues to use a 249 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled SOHC engine producing 26.5 PS at 9,300 rpm and 22.2 Nm at 7,300 rpm. Suzuki’s Oil Cooling System and Suzuki Eco Performance technology are retained. The motorcycle rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combination and offers 205 mm of ground clearance. Dual-channel ABS is standard.
Its equipment list includes LED lighting, Suzuki Easy Start, a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument cluster with Suzuki Ride Connect, a windscreen, knuckle covers, USB charging and a rear carrier.
Pricing
The Suzuki V-Strom SX is priced at Rs 2,02,118 ex-showroom, Delhi. Buyers also get an assured Rs 5,000 Rynox voucher with the motorcycle. Suzuki is offering loans of up to 100 percent, with interest rates starting at 6.99 percent, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
The company is also continuing its V-Strom Experience Day events, while its latest customer expedition to Ladakh runs from September 29 to October 9, covering destinations including Leh, Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso and Hanle.
Final thoughts
The latest update is purely cosmetic, but the new black and grey combination should appeal to riders who prefer a more subtle adventure-tourer look. With its 19-inch front wheel, upright ergonomics and relatively compact 249 cc engine, the V-Strom SX continues to position itself as an everyday motorcycle that can also handle weekend touring duties.
