Everything you need to know about the new Tata Sierra
The latest spy shots of the Sierra have surfaced from Maharashtra, where a production unit was seen loaded on a flatbed truck. The yellow coloured Sierra seems to be the EV as it has no tailpipe.
Speaking of its launch, the new-gen Sierra is expected to debut next month in India. Tata will possibly launch its EV version first, which will later be followed by the petrol and diesel versions.
The new-gen Sierra is based on the same platform as the Harrier and Safari. However, Tata has trimmed the chassis and refined its mechanical setup to offer a luxury yet competent SUV feel.
The EV Sierra will share its underpinnings with the new Harrier EV, which is also offered with AWD. We expect the same range and AWD for the Sierra electric as well.
Previously spotted test mules have shown that it will get a triple screen layout on the inside, along with advanced features like the Level 2 ADAS and wireless connectivity.
The expected price of the Sierra electric could be around Rs 25-30 lakh, while the ICE version will undercut the EV version by nearly Rs 1-1.5 lakh.
