What to expect from the Toyota Hyryder 7-Seater?
The recently spied camouflaged test car shows that the Hyryder 7-seater will feature a similar design language to the Hyryder. The test car bears a sharp bodyline with an elongated rear quarter that is likely to offer more boot space.
This upcoming 7-seater model is going to be a rebadged version of the Maruti Victoris, something similar to the Hyryder and Grand Vitara duo. While it will share its underpinnings with the Maruti sibling, Toyota will pack it with distinctive features, including a new exterior design, a new cabin theme, and different variant positioning.
Since it will share its platform with the Victoris, we believe that Toyota could introduce a 7-seater version to hype demand. Meanwhile, the Victoris remains a 5-seater SUV with a big cargo area. But, inducing 7-seater layout could pull buyers from other brands like Mahindra XUV 7XO and Hyundai Alcazar.
Powering this SUV are going to be the same engine options as seen on the Victoris. It will be offered with the 1.5-litre petrol with a 5-speed MT gearbox, a 1.5-litre Hybrid engine with an e-CVT transmission, an AWD version on the mild-hybrid powertrain, and possibly the dual-CNG variants as well.
On the feature front, it is likely to be equipped with the dual-tone leather upholstery, electric seats, ventilated seats, electric tailgate, Level 2 ADAS, voice commands, panoramic sunroof, mood lighting, and more.
While Toyota is silent about this upcoming SUV, online reports hint that it will be launched later this year, possibly around the festive season. Since both brands are in a model-sharing pact, we suspect that the Toyota’s 7-seater model will be positioned slightly pricier than the Maruti Victoris.
