Triumph Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition details explained
The new Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition features a beautiful dual-tone paint that uses the British Green and Silver colour combination on the fuel tank and the panels. The fuel tank, especially, gets the green colour on the front half, while the rest of the tank is painted Silver with golden pinestripes.
Accentuating this paint are the silver alloy wheels, high-quality materials and perfect fit and finish. Additionally, the tan brown leather seat and the Triumph Thruxton 400-like rear seat cowl turn it into a proper neo-retro cafe racer. Triumph has also added a new clip-on handlebar that is likely to offer a more dedicated and connected riding feel.
Apart from the paint and the handlebars, the rest of the motorcycle is unaltered. It is powered by the 1,200cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that makes 105 bhp and 122 Nm of power and torque. It is paired with a 6-speed transmission and slipper-assist clutch.
Triumph has limited the production of this motorcycle to 800 units globally. The brand has priced it at USD 18,895 (approximately Rs 17.31 lakh as per today’s exchange rate). It is yet to be revealed whether the Indian market will receive any of these units or not.
