- Bajaj ADV bike to get various engine options
- It is being developed by keeping Latin America in mind
- Indian market will get the 250cc engine sourced from Pulsar N250
Bajaj’s first-ever dual-sport adventure motorcycle is currently under development. A recent online report reveals that Bajaj is developing it as an international bike, and Latin America will be its second major market, where it will focus after India.
The new report also reveals that Bajaj will offer it in the Latin American market with a variety of engine options ranging from 160cc to 250cc. However, the Indian market will get the most powerful 250cc engine. This engine is likely sourced from the Pulsar N250, and it will be an air/oil-cooled engine, which will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The Latin American market is famous for the dual-sport lightweight ADV bikes with long-travel suspension and a rugged build due to the demanding terrain. We have already got a glimpse of Bajaj’s ADV bike recently through spy shots, and it does look identical to the popular Latin American bikes like the Suzuki DR150 and the Honda CRF150L.
Meanwhile, Bajaj will also launch it in the Indian market with the 250cc engine. Its main competition in India will be the Hero Xpulse 210, which recently got a major update.
We believe that this bike will focus on affordability, lightweight performance, and easy riding ergonomics. The air/oil-cooled motor will be a durable unit for extreme off-road riding and conquering the high mountain passes.
As of now, the debut timeline and the name of this bike are unknown. We assume that Bajaj will reveal it by the end of this year. It could be priced around Rs 1.8-2 lakh in India.
