Harley-Davidson is soon going to reveal its second model based on the 440 platform, called the Sprint 440. This upcoming cruiser model has already leaked online, showing the design details and hardware changes.
The fresh spy shots of the Sprint 440 arrive directly from the manufacturing plant. We can see a number of bikes prepared and ready to ship to dealers worldwide.
As teased earlier and expected, the Sprint 440 departs from the X440’s roadster design, towards a cruiser-oriented styling. The overall design is now laid-back, and it has certain cues carried from the iconic models like the Softtail and the Iron 883.
The first change that you will immediately spot is the new teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a scooped-in rider seat. This position is a typical Harley cruiser design trait, while the new handlebar is set higher and pulled back towards the rider.
The Sprint 440 also features a new exhaust can compared to the X440. There are ample of chrome and silver parts as well, including the exhaust plate, alloy wheel sidewalls, and engine casing.
The tail section has also been redesigned with a hint of the Sportster 883’s taillight and circular turn indicators. The rear tyre is wider compared to the X440, and we can sense that it has a longer wheelbase too.
The hardware composition is almost identical to the X440. The only changes appear in the form of the increased rake angle of the USD forks and a lower ground clearance.
The switchgear and the circular digital instrument console have also been carried forward from the X440. The bike does give a glimpse of Harley’s big cruiser models with its low-set circular headlight and a long tail section.
With all that said, the Sprint 440 will continue to offer the 440cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine from the X440. This engine offers 27 bhp and 38 Nm, and it is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
Harley is likely to reveal the Sprint 440 at EICMA 2026, which will take place from November 3-8 in Milan, Italy. It will be introduced later in India, and it is likely to be priced around the top variant of the X440.
