What to expect from the Honda CB1000 GT?
The upcoming CB1000 GT sports tourer was homologated in Australia recently. The leaked photos and details showcase a new bike that is based on the CB1000 Hornet and is going to rival the BMW S 1000 XR and Kawasaki Versys 1100.
As seen in the photos, it gets a sharp design with dual-pod headlights, a taller windscreen, and a long-travel suspension, while eliminating the front beak. Moreover, the riding posture is rather comfortable, while the 17-inch wheels are likely to offer better on-road performance.
Powering the CB1000 GT is the 1000cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine that is likely to offer 152 bhp and 107 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. As per the homologation details, the sports tourer weighs 213 kg and has a 10-litre fuel tank, which is smaller than the sports tourer definition.
Honda is likely going to offer modern features on the CB1000 GT, which will include the TFT console, Bluetooth connectivity, ride modes, traction modes, and optional accessories like a quickshifter.
Honda will debut the CB1000 GT at the EICMA 2025 in Italy. It will be first launched in the international market, while its Indian debut is likely to take place by the end of 2026.
