What to expect from the upcoming Nissan MPV?

Nissan's upcoming B-segment MPV spied testing in India

The latest spy shots of a B-segment MPV have surfaced, which indicate a Renault Triber lookalike, likely to be Nissan’s upcoming model. Nissan is on an expansion spree in India, and the brand is likely to benefit from its Renault partnership.

The test car seen in the spy shots looks identical to the Triber. However, it will feature a redesigned fascia and new highlights like the different alloy wheels and new colourways. Meanwhile, the overall silhouette, size, and key parts are likely to remain unchanged.

Mind you, Renault has recently given the Triber a thorough update. The B-MPV has been in the market for a long time, and the French brand gave it a makeover by introducing new features like a digital console, wireless charging, and more. Nissan’s sibling model will also include these features to give customers an upmarket feel.

Powering this unnamed MPV will be the Triber’s 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol motor that makes 71 bhp. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT auto transmission options. However, the possibility of a retrofit CNG option can not be denied in the later stage.

As of now, the exact launch timeline is unknown for it. But, we assume it will debut by February 2026 as the brand said it will launch the first of the three new models by the first quarter of the next year. Prices are likely to remain in the vicinity of the Triber.
