The Kwid electric is likely to be based on the Dacia Spring, which is sold in the global markets. The recent spy shots showcase a camouflaged test car that has new design elements. It is seen with the new, sharp LED DRLs and bumper-embedded headlights with a closed front grille.

Meanwhile, the side profile of the Kwid EV test mule looks identical to the Dacia Spring, as it gets the 14-inch wheels with wheel covers and conventional door handles. The rear profile has a new Y-shaped LED taillight design, which resembles the new-generation Duster, a rear wash and wipe, and a defogger as well.

The cabin is likely to offer decent space and comfort for a small family. It will also come equipped with modern features, including a 7-inch digital console, a 10-inch infotainment screen, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, auto AC, steering-mounted controls, and more.

Assuming that it will share its underpinnings with the Dacia Spring, it is likely to get a 28.6 kWh battery pack, which shall be offered in two power outputs: 45 bhp and 65 bhp. The maximum range could be around 225 km, and it will also support fast charging that can charge it 10-80% in 45 minutes.

The expected debut timeline of the Kwid EV in India is by late 2026. It could be priced in the vicinity of the MG Comet, which is also its direct rival.
