Toyota Innova Hycross facelift: What to expect?
Launched in 2022, the Innova Hycross MPV is in desperate need of a mid-life update. Worry not, as the brand has begun testing the first-ever facelift of the MPV. The camouflaged test mule was recently spotted testing, showing the new exterior updates.
Although difficult to spot, a close look at the spy images will show you a new front design with a more squared-off grille, a redesigned bumper whose silhouette is visible, and the new, sleeker LED headlights that could possibly feature a projector setup – something that every Innova Hycross owner has been looking forward to.
While the overall design, including the profile, side design, bodyline, and alloy wheels, is unaltered on the test car, the rear hides the new LED taillights well. The rear bumper also appears to have undergone a slight update. Since this is the first-ever spotting, we believe that these changes are not finalised, and further test mule appearances could show new alloys and more changes.
The cabin photos could not be captured by the source, but going by the exterior changes, Toyota will also offer a revamped interior design, possibly with the new cabin leather dual-tone upholstery, new features like the ventilated second-row seats, wireless charging with cooling, an updated infotainment screen with a new user interface, etc.
Under the bonnet, it will carry forward the current engine options, which include the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 2.0-litre strong-hybrid engine. However, Toyota is also expected to debut an E85-compliant vehicle soon, and some online reports hint that the new Innova Hycross facelift could get an E85-compliant powertrain as an option.
As of now, Toyota has not revealed any details regarding the updated Innova Hycross facelift. We suspect that it will be introduced towards the middle of next year.
