Maruti Suzuki has commenced the official bookings of the upcoming Brezza SUV facelift. The new model is scheduled to be revealed on July 23, along with its detailed price announcement.
2026 Maruti Brezza facelift: What do we know so far?
The new Brezza facelift will essentially be a mid-life update for the Maruti compact SUV in the Indian market. The new Brezza will be based on the same platform as the current model, but it will offer mild cosmetic tweaks, including a set of new LED projector headlights, a new front grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, new body cladding, new alloy wheels, and possible new exterior colour options.
Similarly, the interior design will be based on the current model itself, but we suspect that it will offer a bigger infotainment screen and a new digital instrument console carried over from the Maruti Suzuki Victoris. Additionally, the updated Brezza facelift will get new smart comfort features like the electric seat adjustment with ventilated front seats, an electronic parking brake, etc.
The previously spotted test mule has already revealed a new 6-speed gearbox, and we firmly believe that the Brezza facelift will get a new turbocharged petrol engine. This new engine could be a derivative of the 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine that is available on the Fronx crossover. We suspect that Maruti will keep it below 1.2-litre capacity to take advantage of the GST 2.0 taxation policy for petrol cars.
Sadly, the car won’t get ADAS, as the current platform requires major alterations for it. However, rumours are that Maruti has been testing the ADAS internally, and we could get the autonomous safety features on the Brezza in its next-generation iteration.
The CNG and the 1.5-litre petrol engine options are also likely to be carried over. However, the CNG Brezza could get the new underbody CNG fuel tank placement similar to the Victoris. This will allow for a usable boot space, which remains one of the biggest cons of the current Brezza CNG model.
Maruti will announce the prices of the Brezza facelift on July 23. With the new updates, we suspect that it will witness a moderate hike in its prices.
