- New Hero Mavrik 440 spotted undisguised
- Features a new digital instrument console and golden USD forks
- It could be an international ‘Hunk 440’ variant
Hero MotoCorp discontinued the Mavrik 440 roadster long ago. The bike could not perform as per expectations, and its poor sales eventually led to its discontinuation. However, Hero could soon relaunch the Mavrik 440 with new changes. An updated version of the Mavrik 440 was recently spotted showroom-ready by a customer at a dealership store.
New Hero Mavrik 440: What to expect?
As seen in the leaked photo, the updated Mavrik 440 is seen with a dual-tone black and silver colour combination. The bike retains its original styling, but the new changes include the golden-coloured USD front suspension and a new digital instrument console that looks carried over from the Harley-Davidson X440. The latter is still on sale in India, and it is essentially a rebadged version of the Mavrik with a few styling changes.
The customer who clicked these photos has posted them on Reddit. He also shared that the bike did not have any other updates. Now, considering that Hero has no launch lined up in the near future, except for the upcoming Hero Xpulse 421, we firmly believe that this could be an updated version of the ‘Hunk 440’.
Mind you, Marvik 440 nameplate was for the Indian market, but the same bike is still sold by Hero in the global market with the ‘Hunk 440’ moniker. So, a strong possibility is that this specific updated model is a new, refreshed Hunk 440 for the international market.
Setting aside the speculations, the Mavrik 440 could be reintroduced in India, but with substantial changes to its design and the list of equipment. A major redesign is the only way that could help Mavrik 440 make a strong comeback in the Indian market.
