Kia’s upcoming Seltos is going to create a stir in the car market. The latest spy shots reveal that it will not only get a new design or interiors, but a new 7-speed AT gearbox for the diesel engine.

What to expect from the 2026 Kia Seltos?
The new-gen Seltos is going to mark its debut globally next year. With the new-gen, the Seltos will not only offer a revamped design but also a new powertrain option.
As per the latest online report, the next-gen Seltos will feature the current 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine with 118 bhp and 250 Nm, but it will be paired with a new 7-speed automatic gearbox. The new gearbox will allow for a smoother power delivery and more fuel economy on the highway.
While this gearbox and more details regarding the powertrain options are unconfirmed till now, we suspect that the new Seltos will be a major upgrade from the current-gen model. It will be based on a new chassis which will also be longer and wider than the current car.
On the outisde, it will get a completely new design with the vertical LED lights and a new fascia with a new grille. Similarly, the rear design will be dominated by the new vertical LED lights and a new shape. This design is going to be largely inspired by the 2027 Kia Telluride SUV.
The cabin design of the new-gen Seltos will also be identical to the new-gen Telluride. The dashboard will offer a triple-screen connected display with a new steering wheel, new center console area, new door panels, and improved seats with more cushioning and adjustability.
Kia will equip the new-gen Seltos with some segment-first features. As far as we know, it will come equipped with the dual-pane sunroof, reclining rear seats, wireless charging, AI-assisted features, and the latest ADAS safety suite.
The new-gen Seltos is expected to debut by mid-2026 globally. It shall be launched in India by the end of the next year.
