Skoda has introduced the much-awaited Kushaq facelift in India. The new model has brought with it some interesting changes, including a new 8-speed automatic gearbox. Read all the changes and details of the Kushaq facelift below.

2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift – All changes explained
The updated Kushaq is much more than just a mere facelift. The brand has ensured that customers get their money’s worth when they choose the new Kushaq.
Speaking of the changes, on the outside, it now gets a redesigned front fascia with new LED headlights, a new piano black grille with segmented LED DRLs, and a new bumper with LED foglights.
On the side profile, the car is largely unchanged, save for the new 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheel design. The rear end has also been upgraded with the new LED taillights, a redesigned boot, a new bumper, and illuminated Skoda lettering.
On the inside, the Kushaq facelift is now loaded with a bigger 10.1-inch infotainment console, a 10.25-inch digital console (8-inch on the mid-spec variants), new upholstery, and more features like a dual-pane sunroof, front electric seats with ventilation, and the segment-first rear massaging seats.
However, it still misses out on a few options, including the 360-degree camera, ADAS, and even the rear window curtains, which its rivals like the new Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos offer. Dimensionally, the Kushaq remains unchanged, which can be a problem for buyers looking for a big car at this price point.
Technically, there are a few notable changes. The first is the addition of all four disc brakes on all the 1.5 TSI variants. Additionally, the 1.5 TSI variants will now come with only a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, as the manual gearbox has been eliminated completely.
Meanwhile, the 1.0 TSI now gets an all-new 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, which replaces the outgoing 6-speed torque converter. This is an interesting update, and we are excited to drive this particular variant as the Kushaq becomes the first car in the segment to offer the 8-speed transmission (codenamed DQ300).
In addition to the above changes, the new Kushaq now gets new exterior colours, including Shimla Green, Cherry Red, and Steel Grey.
