The new model brings with it a long list of upgrades. It will now be offered with a new off-road-centric variant, while the range will include the Africa Twin, Africa Twin Adventure Sports, and the Africa Twin Enduro Sports variants.

Apart from the new engine, the chassis has also been revised. It now packs a lighter frame and swingarm. The suspension setup supplied by Showa is now electronically adjustable. The windscreen is also electronically adjustable.
Meanwhile, the riding ergonomics have been revised with rear-set rider footpegs and a wider handlebar. The seat cushioning has also been improved for more comfort.
Other specifications include the 18.8-litre fuel tank (24.2-litre on the Adventure Sports variant), keyless ignition and an electronic fuel cap. Meanwhile, the styling has also been revamped. It now packs a fresh fascia with sharp split LED headlamps, new tank and shrouds, new colourways and aggressive graphics.
The 18-inch rear wheel is now standard across all variants. While the off-road variants get the 21-inch front wheel, the Adventure Sports variant comes with a 19-inch front wheel. All variants get the tubeless cross-spoked wheels.

With the new model, Honda is offering multiple seat height options. For example, the Enduro Sports, an off-road-spec variant, comes with 870-890 mm seat height, while the Adventure Sports, a touring-spec variant, gets 830-850 mm seat height.
All variants get the fully adjustable Showa suspension. The front suspension travel is set to 240 mm, while the rear monoshock has 230 mm of travel.

The electronics package has also been improved substantially. The new Africa Twin gets a massive 7-inch TFT screen with features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include a six-axis IMU that offers traction control, wheelie control, engine braking control, and cruise control.
The new Africa Twin also gets six ride modes: Sport, Touring, Urban, Rain, Off Road, and Off Road+. Meanwhile, it gets a radar module on both ends, which offers safety features like auto emergency braking, front collision detection, blind spot monitoring, etc.
