Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer River has introduced a new extended warranty for its Indie scooter. Check all the details below.

River Indie electric scooters’ new extended warranty details
As per the details released by the company, the Indie e-scooter can now be had with a maximum warranty of up to 8 years or 80,000 km, whichever comes earlier. This is a huge extension as compared to the current 5-year warranty limit.
While the company offers a standard warranty of 3 years, customers have had the option to upgrade it to 5 years by paying Rs 3,999 + GST until now. The new extended warranty scheme has been priced at Rs 8,399 + GST.
So, what is covered in it? The extended warranty covers the electric motor and battery of the scooter. The company says that it is useful in cases like motor damage or malfunction, or if the battery health has dropped below 70%. It covers the essential parts, which are often regarded as costly for any EV.
The new extended warranty scheme is bound to go live on October 1, 2025. New and existing customers can opt for this scheme by paying the additional amount.
