The MY26 update for the Tracer 7 touring range has come in the form of a major mechanical update. Customers will now be able to opt for a semi-auto Y-AMT transmission as an option for it.

This new gearbox is a 6-speed unit that provides two options to ride – one lets the gearbox control the engine itself and do the gearshifts as per the throttle, while the other lets the riders control the gears manually.

To manually control the bike, Yamaha has fixed two toggle switches on the left side switchgear on the handlebars. Yamaha says that it is very easy to operate the bike with these toggle switches, as the learning curve is quick.

Meanwhile, the Tracer 7 range also received a new, taller windscreen, a centre stand, and new aluminium luggage panniers. Mind you, both bikes were updated not long ago with a completely new design, new features, and mechanical updates.

The Tracer 7 uses a 689cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that offers 72.4 bhp and 67 Nm of peak torque.
