Tata Nexon beats Alto K10 in sales: Here’s how!
The newly released sales numbers for the Nexon have brought immense happiness for Tata Motors as the compact SUV has become the best-selling car in India in September 2025. A total of 22,573 units of Nexon were sold within September, which has beaten every other car sales.
However, there is a catch behind it. And the name of the catch is GST 2.0. The implementation of the newly revised tax slabs reduced the prices of Nexon by over Rs 1 lakh, which attracted a lot of buyers as the price reduction came just ahead of the festive season. Hence, the sales numbers spiked.
But, irrespective of the GST slab revision, Nexon has been doing great for Tata. The compact SUV has managed to sell over 9 lakh units since its debut in 2017. The main attraction of it is the safe build quality and aggressive pricing. Additionally, it has multiple variants, which include frugal diesel and CNG options, that attract numerous buyers.
Speaking of the numbers, Tata has recorded 9,10,181 unit sales for the Nexon since its launch. Following its footsteps, the Tata Punch has also crossed over 6 lakh unit sales since its launch.
